Laura is excited to join The Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy’s 17th Annual Florida Celebration of Reading on Friday, February 17, 2017 as guest children’s author.
Laura will host a breakfast for students to celebrate this year’s student essay and art contest based on her classic book, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, and introduce her new book, Raising a Hero, with an evening presentation and reading of her new book about puppies training to help people with disabilities and special needs. Tickets are required.
Additionally, Barnes & Noble and Barbara Bush Foundation will host Laura and Canine Companions for a book signing of Raising a Hero at the Barnes & Noble Coconut Point location (map) on Thursday, February 16 from 4-6 p.m. Eastern. Open to the public.
Funds raised from the annual Florida Celebration of Reading help support programs of the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. A portion of the sale of Raising a Hero supports Canine Companions for Independence.
